My Immigration Helper is operated by NexGate Labs LLC ("NexGate Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the My Immigration Helper website, mobile application, related services, and account features (collectively, the "App" or "Service").

My Immigration Helper provides general immigration-related self-help information and tools. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not affiliated with USCIS, DHS, the Department of State, EOIR, or any government agency.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your email address, password, display name, authentication provider information, and account preferences. Passwords are managed through our authentication provider and are not stored by us in plain text.

Third-Party Login Information

If you sign in using Google, Apple, or another supported provider, we may receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication provider identifier, depending on what the provider makes available.

Immigration Self-Help Inputs and Saved Journey Data

When you use guided pathways, eligibility question flows, inadmissibility screening tools, citizenship tools, Visa Bulletin tools, evidence checklists, or other App features, we may collect and store the answers, selections, flags, risk indicators, roadmap results, saved journey summaries, saved roadmap details, related resources, and timestamps associated with your account.

Civics Practice and Progress Data

If you use civics practice features, we may collect and store test type, test date, score, number of questions, correct answer count, missed-question tracking, weak-points practice data, and related progress history.

Payment and Entitlement Information

If you purchase Full Access or another paid feature, payment processing is handled by Stripe or another applicable payment provider. We may store payment-related identifiers such as Stripe customer ID, checkout session ID, payment intent ID, price ID, purchase timestamp, account entitlement status, and access level. We do not store complete credit card numbers or full payment card details.

Support and Communication Information

If you contact us for support, report a problem, request a refund, or send feedback, we may collect your email address, message content, screenshots or attachments you provide, payment date, account email, device/browser information, and other details needed to respond to your request.

Device, Usage, and Technical Information

We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, browser, app version, performance information, error logs, feature usage, and approximate interaction data to maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service.

Payment providers may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Stripe's privacy policy and any applicable app-store payment policies when using those payment methods.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and backend functions. We may use secure on-device storage for certain session or authentication-related information where supported.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network when accessing the App.

We retain account, saved journey, payment entitlement, civics progress, and support information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain account functionality, comply with legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect against fraud or abuse.

You may delete saved journeys, civics progress, or your account through available App features where offered. Some records may be retained for a reasonable period where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, security, or backup purposes.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also be able to object to or restrict certain processing.

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

The App may ask questions about immigration history, travel history, criminal history, family relationships, employment categories, filing history, or other sensitive topics. These inputs are used to provide general informational guidance and self-help organization tools. The App does not provide legal advice and does not replace consultation with a qualified immigration attorney.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App or on this page. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
